Pop-Up Book

Pop-Up Book

Description

One character narrates a story and the others lie down on the ground as if pressed between the pages of an enormous book. The narrator turns a giant page and the players pop up and pose. The narrator pulls a tab or turns a dial or other typical functions of a pop-up book and the page animates. At the end of the story for one page, the narrator turns the page, narrates a bit, and then reveals a new pop-up page. This continues until the story has finished.

Additional Tips for Playing

  • Keep the story fairly short.
  • It’s helpful if the narrator is really clear with what the story is and what the pop-up does.
  • Really play around with the pop-ups! Have a character, try different things out.

Show Introduction

“This game is called Pop-Up Book. One of the players is a narrator who will be telling you a story, and the rest of the players are the pop-up book. Can I get suggestions of a made up title for this book?”
