To encourage Melburnians to get back into the CBD in the lead-up to Christmas – and beyond – the City of Melbourne is providing free parking in the municipality from December 1, 2020 to January 3, 2021.

“Forget the 12 days of Christmas,” Lord Mayor Sally Capp said in a statement, “we’re offering 32 days of free parking to help you enjoy our fabulous city this holiday season.”

The Lord Mayor continued: “Some people may be hesitant using public transport in the short term and until that confidence builds we have decided to temporarily make parking free in areas with green signs.”
